LYR Babefest 2016 Compilation CD

In honor of Love Your Rebellion’s 7th issue zine release show Babefest, LYR compiled the original Southwest Florida acts who performed onto a compilation. The resulting Babefest 2016 Compilation CD is an incredible assortment of music written and performed by female singer-songwriters or bands with female members. The compilation’s genre diversity reflects the range of female talent present in the SWFL community. The genres represented on the LYR Babefest 2016 Compilation CD are Reggae, Punk, Metal, Folk, Indie, Americana, Hardcore, and Blues.

The LYR Babefest 2016 Compilation CD features original music by The Young Dead, The Good Bad Kids, Kyle Anne Duggan, The Freecoasters, TerryLynn Melody, Autarkeia, Psychic Dose, and Julie Parrott. Each performer’s track was professionally recorded at a studio with an engineer of their choosing. In this way, the compilation also showcases some of Southwest Florida’s best production and recording engineers. Sound and production quality is very important to audiophiles like the LYR staff. That’s why all discs were pressed by CD Baby and are guaranteed to play in any functioning CD player.

Love Your Rebellion worked in tandem with many artists, musicians, and small businesses to produce the LYR Babefest 2016 Compilation CD. The goddess on the compilation’s cover was specially designed by local Florida artist Hoolie Prytyka. In an effort to keep production of the LYR Babefest Compilation CD as local as possible, the packaging was completed by IFB Records in Fort Myers.

Your purchase of the LYR Babefest 2016 Compilation CD helps support art, music, and small business in the SWFL community. Musicians appearing on the CD receive royalties from each copy sold. In addition, the remaining profits will help LYR release more compilations in the future alongside LYR’s Babefest, the live music event that had its debut this year in Cape Coral, Florida at Nice Guys Pizza.
